from an idea to something real
Some of our pieces begin with a simple image that stays in our heads longer than it should.
A strange figure. A light in the sky. A face that looks almost human. A story someone insists really happened.
For this collection, we kept coming back to UFOs and the strange relationship people have always had with things they can't fully explain. We've all seen the stories — lights appearing in the distance, photographs that raise more questions than answers, people describing encounters that sound impossible. Whether you believe them or not isn't really the point.
What interested us was the image itself, and what it represents.
So we started turning those ideas into clothes.
Before a finished piece exists, there is nothing particularly glamorous about it. There are sketches, fabric, measurements, cutting, printing, stitching, adjustments, and plenty of details that have to be changed along the way. An image that looks right on paper can feel completely different once it becomes part of a garment.
That's the part we wanted to show.
These photos capture some of the process behind the pieces we're working on — not just the finished clothes, but the work that happens before anyone wears them.
For us, clothing has always been more interesting when it carries something beyond the obvious. A graphic can come from an old story. A silhouette can borrow from another era. A familiar symbol can be placed somewhere unexpected.
We don't want every piece to tell you exactly what to think.
We'd rather leave enough room for you to bring your own interpretation to it.
That's also where MACALLISTER comes from.
We are drawn to the darker side of things — strange stories, forgotten images, uncomfortable ideas, and the parts of culture that don't always make it into the mainstream. Not because everything outside the ordinary is automatically better, but because there is often something worth finding there.
